About this service

Specialist adult ADHD assessment.

Structured adult ADHD assessment for people in Geelong and across Victoria — by secure video, on AEST / AEDT. SetMind psychiatrists work from your GP referral, validated screeners and a comprehensive specialist interview, then send a written formulation back to your GP.

Appointments run on AEST / AEDT and are scheduled to suit working Geelong adults. You'll be seen by an AHPRA-registered psychiatrist; the written assessment goes back to your referring GP so care stays joined-up across Victoria.

What you get with a Geelong adult ADHD assessment.

  • Pre-assessment validated screeners (ASRS, DIVA-5-style)
  • 60–90 minute specialist diagnostic interview by an AHPRA-registered psychiatrist
  • Structured developmental and functional history
  • Written diagnostic formulation to you and your referring GP
  • Discussion of evidence-based options where a diagnosis is confirmed
  • Shared-care plan so your GP can continue prescribing long-term

Who it's for

Is this the right service for you?

Suited for

  • Adults 18+ in Geelong who suspect ADHD
  • People whose GP or psychologist has recommended specialist review
  • Patterns traceable to childhood or school years, still affecting work or relationships

Not suited for

  • Acute mental-health crisis or active suicidality
  • People without a current GP referral

How it works

From GP referral to written plan.

  1. Step 01

    Get a GP referral

Any AHPRA-registered Australian GP can refer you. Your Geelong GP referral is nationally valid.

  2. Step 02

    Pre-assessment screening

We send validated screeners and a brief history form before the appointment, so the session is focused.

  3. Step 03

    Specialist video assessment

Specialist video appointment on AEST / AEDT, with an AHPRA-registered psychiatrist.

  4. Step 04

Plan sent to you and your GP

Written assessment and treatment plan, with shared-care handover so prescribing can stay local.
