About this service
Specialist adult ADHD assessment.
Structured adult ADHD assessment for people in Brisbane and across Queensland — by secure video on Brisbane time. SetMind psychiatrists work from your GP referral, validated screeners and a full diagnostic interview, then send a written formulation back to your GP. Queensland's private ADHD psychiatry waitlists are some of the longest in the country; the telehealth pathway typically books in within 1–3 weeks.
Appointments run on AEST (no DST) and are scheduled to suit working Brisbane adults. You'll be seen by an AHPRA-registered psychiatrist; the written assessment goes back to your referring GP so care stays joined-up across Queensland.
Queensland has specific rules around stimulant prescribing — every stimulant prescription in QLD requires a Monitored Medicines approval, which only a treating doctor can apply for. SetMind psychiatrists handle this directly as part of your treatment plan. We see patients across Greater Brisbane and out to Ipswich, Logan, Redlands and the Sunshine and Gold Coasts; appointments stay on AEST year-round because Queensland doesn't observe daylight saving.
